Have you given out a fan?

In the month of June (BEFORE THE 25th), click on "comments" (below right) to share who you gave a fan to, and you will be entered to win a prize at the June 25th women's event ~ A Night Good for the Heart.

To attend, be sure you sign up for the evening of workshops and the healthy carry-in dinner. Childcare is available with sign up. You can sign up on the church website or in the Welcome Center. This will be a great night of information and inspiration for women of all ages.

So, let us know who received your fan, and pray along with others who have sent them out to women around Knoxville.

Friends and Fans

Welcome to the Summer Fan Club, where fans are meant to be shared with new friends, and fans are meant to lead to LIFE!

Do NOT give fans to women like these:

Don't even think about giving a fan to a lady pushing a stroller, while holding the hand of a toddler, while talking on a cell phone and balancing a Chick-fil-A iced tea. :)
Don't think about giving a fan to a lady who is in the middle of putting on lipstick after she's been visiting the salad bar at Jason's Deli. (Wait til she's done ...)
Don't wake up a lady from her sound sleep at the pool (well bathed in sunscreen, of course) where she is dreaming of a private maid and Takeout Taxi coming to her door.

DO give a fan to women like these:

That lady who sits outside on the bench (or puts on her walking shoes to stroll) during your lunch hour everday.
Definitely the woman who is setting out lunch on a table at the Cove on a hot Sunday afternoon, guarding the fritos from the squirrels.
A woman who is walking in your neighborhood on a steamy June evening.
The lady behind you at a table on Market Square when you overhear her saying (no, you weren't eavesdropping!) that it is awfully hot for the middle of June.
The neighbor lady who sits on her porch every evening after work talking on the phone.
The woman who watches the kids in the yard while they play in the pool.
The young lady who works at the pool as a lifeguard.

I could go on, but you get the idea. There are lots of moments and women that are perfect for passing on a SUMMER FAN! Sometimes, timing makes the difference. The Holy Spirit will do the prompting, and you'll know when it's the right time to give your fan. And remember, these fans will do more than refresh a face and relieve the heat; they have words of hope and an invitation for life. Your fan may be a connection that leads to real refreshment for a thirsty woman.

5 Things You Could Say When You Give a Fan

1. Would you like a fan to use? It's from the Women's group at my church.
2. There's a lot of good info on here, too. I'd love for you to come with me sometime.
3. It's only going to get hotter. Have a fan. :)
4. We're having a ladies night out on June 25th. It will be great time with other women.
5. I've wanted to invite you to come with me sometime. This fan tells you what's going on.
